  8. Math Message should work on any Macintosh running System 7.

  10. Please do not distribute Math Message on any medium over 2 megabytes that is meant to be sold for profit without my permission.

Math Message is designed for teachers who teach Elementary schools and Parents whose children are in Elementary School. The purpose of the program is to create worksheets with a key that contains the alphabet with associated numbers, and a message which consist of blank spaces with the associated math problems. Solving the Math Problem will give the numbers associated with the key. I've tried to make the program as simple to use as possible.

  19.     New
  20.             This will create a new Document.

  22.     Open
  23.             This will bring up the Standard Open Dialog box, in order to Open a file.

  25.     Close
  26.             This will close the active document.

  28.     Save
  29.             This will update a document.

  31.     SaveAs
  32.           This will bring up the Standard Save Dialog box, in order to Save the active document.

  34.     ExportAsPict
  35.               Will bring up a dialog box that will allow you to save the current document as a Type 1 PICT. You can then load the PICT file into any paint or drawing program. Please note that if you export the document as a PICT, Math Message will not be able to open it. If you want to be able to Open the file into Math Message use the SaveAs option.

  37.     PageSetUp
  38.            This will bring up the Standard Page Set Up dialog box. Here you can change the paper size and orientation. Please note that the program actually uses the current page Size and orientation to create a Worksheet with those attributes.

  41.                 Allows you to print to current file

  44.                 This will quit the program

  48.           Please note that the Edit Menu is not functional. It is only there to follow the Macintosh Human Interface Guidelines.

  54.                     This will bring up a dialog box where you type in the message and choose the font size and  the font.

  56.         Prefences
  57.                 Here you choose the range of numbers for the key and whether you want to have subtraction, addition problems, or both. The randomize option, if on will randomly choose numbers from the range, if it is off, it will use the numbers sequentially.

  61.         Close ALL..
  62.                 This will close all the documents currently open.

  64.         The names of all the currently open documents appear under Close All. choosing a name will bring it to the front and make it the current document.
